The Licensed Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives; and functions as IEP Manager to assigned students.

 

Under the direction of the Building Administration, the Licensed Teacher represents a broad grouping of diverse and different instructional positions responsible for developing and supporting curriculum in assigned instructional subjects; facilitates instruction, evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional outcomes and objectives. Participates and collaborates with other instructional professionals, administrators, parents, counselors, and other district personnel concerning student needs, issues and district learning initiatives, curriculum and building issues.

 

Education and Experience: 

Current Minnesota teaching license required in Special Education in the assigned area of responsibility and/or the ability to obtain.
