The Dean of Students will assist the principals and assistant principals in discipline, supervision, and attendance and support school and district initiatives that create a safe and engaging learning environment and increase student achievement. This position will collaborate with school staff and administration to implement strategies and programs designed to improve culture and climate in their assigned school(s), including academics,  Tier I interventions in both the MTSS-A, MTSS-B systems , and social emotional learning (SEL).

• Engages in collaborative student supervision and behavioral support
• Engages in effective schoolwide strategies and programs to improve climate and culture to support student achievement
• Assists with building assessment and performance data to hold all learners to high standards and to promote top achievement for all students
• Engages in effective collaborative relationships with a wide range of partners

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education in assigned field
• Current Minnesota teaching license required and/or the ability to obtain in the assigned area of responsibility.
• Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience

Preferred Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership
• Current Minnesota Administrative Licensure 
• Experience with at risk and/or historically underrepresented populations
